Description
During the closing ceremony, the outcomes of the Congress, which will reflect the inputs and efforts of participants from all regions and sectors, will be shared and confirmed. The outcomes represent the essence of the discussions throughout the week on how to build a green, healthy and resilient future with forests while contributing to the achievement of the SDGs, Global Forest Goals, the Paris Agreement and other relevant global agreements.
Participants will express their views on the outcomes and the way forward, a video will present highlights from the Congress and high level representatives from FAO, the host country and international organizations or processes will provide closing remarks.
The event may also receive proposals for hosting the XVI WFC.
Objectives
1. Share and confirm the outcomes of the Congress.
2. Discuss the Congress outcomes with diverse stakeholders including private sector, civil society, Indigenous representatives, smallholder groups and youth representatives.
3. High-level statements on the way forward.
